Škerlj Wine Cellar

The Škerlj family has lived in the village of Tomaj for a very long time. The entrance to our farm has an inscription carved in the stone – 1788 – silently testifying to our history and the hard work that has helped preserve the farm until today. Knowledge, diligence, enthusiasm and determination have been passed from one generation to another, with every ancestor leaving their own mark. So, every successor respects the tradition and upgrades it with a passion for the red soil and family. We offer red wines Teran and Cabernet Sauvignon, while white cuvée wine is available in smaller quantities. Gourmets can enjoy the sweetest product of our wine cellar – the Teran liqueur.  We invite you to a tasting of our wines and home-made dry-cured meats, among which prosciutto is our flagship. It is carefully produced and dry-cured in the Karst Bora wind.
